Professor Welfonder is chair of the Research Institution for Automation of Energy Processes
(Forschungsgesellschaft für Automatisierung in der Energietechnik mbH).
He is member of the VDE/VDI technical committee "Netzregelung und Systemführung" as well as
of the VGB technical committee "Electrical Engineering, I&C, and IT".
=> The interdisciplinary lecture "Sinnvolle sozio-ökonomische Weiterentwicklung der
globalisierten Gesell-
schaft" presented by Prof. Welfonder since 2002 will not further
take place from winter semester 2014/15.
